Also,
What type of structure do you fish mate. It's always good to have a couple of different types of lures for different areas. Steep banks, flats and so on.

A slow steady retreive is a good place to start and then you can practise putting in a pause in the lure with different techniques.

Try and catch up with any other Breamers in the area. It's a great way to learn watching other people. Great way to make new friends as well.

Pappy, half the fun is just trying, if you get a fish it's just a bonus. Mate take your time and enjoy doing it and most of all don't make the mistake of turning it into a science, it's just fishing

Just fishing?????????!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of a story I saw on a tv show i think its was Rex, he and his team were there with all the flash gear in the Kimberly, casting and jigging for Barra using every flash technique under the sun. Some local bloke came down to the water with a hand line and one home made lure and pulled out a monsta barra, he was just getting his dinner as he did every day.
