G'day Cody
I believe these days with the state of technology and quality of product that there are no bad motors.
Honda 4 strokes are a good little motor, nice and quiet, economical and a pleasure to use. I have a Yamaha 25 cv motor which I reckon does the job nicely, a two stroke it hasn't let me down yet. Chris Lemmess was selling his honda MOTOR try giving him a call and talk to him about it. regards Geoff

I owned a Merc 15ph on my first tinny and it was sensational. It has the gear shift as part as the throtle which is very handy. It allows you to shift gears without searching for the gear shift lever. I only wish that my current 40hp Merc had the same feature.

Cody the motor's still available... there's one guy ahead of you in the queue but he's hesitant as he lives a long way down south, so you might be able to nab it before him... let me know.
There's an ad for it in the classified section... Chris |

I love my Johnson 15
Its light enough to carry but enough oomph to plane my boat with all the paraphernalia that my boat accumulates. <*)))))-< Jim

Hi Cody,
After using the Honda engines for the first time this weekend, I would highly recommend them. Quiet and run on the smell of an oily rag. I was thoroughly impressed.

Bear,
I've heard that you can carry on a conversation with a honda 4 stroke on the transom, do you agree? I must admit that whilst I love my Johnson 15 I do hate it when my mate can't hear me next to me but everyone on the shore can

Mitch and I took it to the ski area to open it up and hit top speed. We could not only carry on a conversation with ease, but he answered a mobile call as well.
The 10hp was even quieter. Richo had it on a 3.7m stessl and with he and Davo, could plane no problems at all. He cruised by at one stage and I thought he was coasting after switching it off, cheeky bugger just smiled and motored away.

You betcha - it's an awesome motor... had a little trouble when we first got it - the idle was set wrong and it kept stalling, but now it's perfect and starts often with a single pull on a cold cold southern morning. I'd definately recommend them!

Honda 10 H
That little baby was very smooth..... silent as, and the laziest pull to start it as well, we couldn`t help laughing everytime we did. Highky recommended after 1 session. Could have mistaken us for being on electric at some stages....

Gotta agree there Richo....very smooth and quiet as.
If the wind was down we would have been laughing, it could've worked as an electric I was suprised at how easy it was to start and how quiet it was when it was started, yeah we had a good laugh, it seemed all too easy. As Richo said the laziest pull would start it everytime. I'd deffinately recommend Honda 4 strokes after the peaceful session we had on Saturday. Cheers, Dave |

The 20 went a treat as I think Nick and Dwayne can testify... gotta love the electric start and power assisted trim which means I could lift and lower the prop at top speed when we hit the flats... mmmmmm...
