Angry 4 Breaming reels

G'day guys,

I'm in the process of upgrading my reels and have faced a little dilemma, I keep chopping and changing which reels i'm going to put on the following...

Samurai 101
Samurai 201
Samurai 203
G.Loomis 842-2 GLX

So what would you personally throw on these 4 rods? Or if you have any of these what are you running on them? I have a slight idea of what I want on what its just a matter of organizing the reels on the rods and having a play with em. Leaning towards finesse as I already have a couple of stump pulling rack combo's.

No Budget (Thank you tax time)

on the loomis i would put a 2508 exist or steez. Ive had it with the steez and ive played with one with the exist and they match up so nicely, pretty much perfectly. So yeah, go the best and dont look back

Cant comment on the samurais.

If you got some tax money left over I wouldnt mind an exist either

Why does everyone seem to think that 800 dollar reels are the only thing to buy. Im just curious.

The difference is the same as comparing a Rolls Royce to a Daihatsu Charade, that's the best metaphor I can think of

So what you're basically saying is a there is no difference in the performance between a Stella and a Sienna? or a Exist and a Sweepfire?

Some of us are actually willing to spend the extra 500-600 dollars for a reel that performs better

If your saying 'no budget' just go and have a play at your local tackle store !

Mate, whatever you chose, I am sure you will get a good deal on 4 of them

I run the 2004 Certate's and love em. There the best reels I could afford but with no budget I am sure I would have Stella's !

I've got a 2004 Certate (09model) on a 201 and wouldn't mind the same on a 203. Can't comment much on the others though

I'm in the same position as you and haven't quite figured it out yet...but i'm thinking:

101 - 2004 Steez
201 - 2508 Steez
203 will have my existing Airity or i'll change this to a 2004 Certate (2010)

Hi mate,
I have an exist1003 native custom on my sr842-2 Glx and it is a thing of beauty.IMO the Smoothest reel I have ever picked up matched with a rod you can feel a fish fart near. You will never look back.
