350grams not tared off and nothing was said whilst weighing fish in???

Please give us more info - We certainly have come a long way if not a single angler put their hand up to ID something wrong.

Competitors will note a 350gram difference betweeen their original bag weight and recorded weight. Due to a tare malfunction, the weight of a wet weigh-bag was added to the total bag weight of each angler who weighed in fish. This also applied to individual fish weighed for Big Bream. Whilst no angler brought this to the attention of ABT, to ignore this difference would be remiss in our provision of tournaments thus the decision has been made to apply the reduction across the board. This measure does not affect the field placings as it has been applied equally to each competitor that caught fish. ABT apologises for the error and will promptly address the reasons for this error

i think thats what is in question

DW,

Yes, interesting how no-one is worried when the bag weighs heavier than you think it should!

In short, the scale usually keeps its zeroing (with the bag) when turned on and off. This time it didn't and it wasn't very obvious when the first few 5-bags hit the scale. It was only when some single fish bags went 750g for a just-legal that it was identified. The weighmaster did the right thing and weighed all bags with the same zeroing and subtracted the bag weight at the end.

I think that over the last decade we've learned nearly all ways that scales can play up. The system has now been adjusted again to cater for this type of issue.

Otherwise, well done Drew - big winning margin on a tough bite.

Bribie's a great tournament arena. In the last three years, it's now been won at Caloundra (30km north of the start), next to the start line, and Redcliffe (15km south on Moreton Bay). It tests your decision making skills as much as your fishing ones.

Cheers,

SM
