Wasn't a fan of them until recently, they don't have the flutter that other stick minnows do but they sink faster, good for deeper water. check out June Reports!!!!!!!!!!, near the bottom of page 5, post number 95 to see how good they are!

i work them like a placcie, letting them hit the bottom and then giving them a few flicks.

I was lucky enough to fish with steve Morgan in the bream grand final where he showed properly how to fish them, I had previously caught fish on them in the derwent river around boats and jetties. On day 2 we compiled a 4kg+ bag on them around snags and sight casting to fish digging on edges. Now I've been using them in the derwent and on the east coast always catching fish on them, a very versitile lure. One session I landed 5 fish in 5 casts off a breakwall with the biggest being 39.5 ttf. They are also a good surface lure.
My go to lure around structure and for tailing/digging fish. Land it right on their head let it hit the bottom, if not hooked up a few flicks so it looks like the bream has scared it from it's hiding spot whilst digging for it. They also have n awesome action! Isaac. |

I have been using the semi-hardz for the past month or so with great success. Regularly catching bream, whiting and flathead in my local piece of water. Muddy prawn is my favourite colour with yellow chartreuse a close second. I tend to either fish them like a plastic or a reasonably constant shake and retrieve.

all my bigger fish have been caught on purple shadow and muddy prawn.
i ahve caught fish on every colour but ghost gill brown is certainly a good colour. The colours that look like prawns and shrimp seem to work the best. |
