What Inspires You To Go Fishing ? Feedback Wanted

Hey guys

At school i do DT as one of my electives and i was considering building my own website as my 'Major' project.

It's going to be about fishing, i know that for sure, but i was considering making a website that makes people want to get out and fish, to get outdoors, to stop wasting hours 'playing' video games, so people can discover what an amazing sport we have at our doorstep, if get if you get what i mean.

So just a quick question, what inspires you to go out for a fish ? why and how did you get into fishing ? what keeps you going back for more ? why do you love it basically.

Any feedback is more than welcome.

Cheers

As one associate said once "for the money fame and groupies" Yeah right!

I started fishing when I was very young, my father has always been a keen fisherman and he got me started on something that I believe will always be my favourite pastime.
From waking up in the gloom to watch the sun come up over the horizon, to driving down a secluded section of river with a crystal clear glassed out river stretching into the distance to the excitement of feeling that crunch of a lure and the drag starting to scream as line peels off into the distance. Fishing to me is about being able to get out and do something that is very very simple in its nature but highly complicated and technical at the same time.
The frustration when things don't go your way on the water, to the excitment when everything falls into place and you have a cracker of a session.
Some of my best days on the water have included lots of fish, little fish, big fish and no fish. Wether it be up a quiet river by myself listening to the birds and circarda's throwing topwater lures into a bank and watching and listening to a angry bream detonating all over the lure to the excited and nervous anticipation of floating around the starting point of a comp and waiting for the day to unfold, to spending the day on the water with family and friends.
That to me is why I enjoy fishing and always come back for more, the ability for the little 1% change that will either turn the fishing on or shut it down so quickly you scratch your head wondering what's happened.

I guess to me thats why I love fishing and I'll always be back for one more cast.

I guess it's different ways of catching fish. So many options out there it's fun to mix it up. Plus the feeling of a solid run to get the heart pumping.

The sight of the lawnmower No seriously being outdoors foremost, personal challenges, making and executing a plan from go to wo,learning something new all the time, the buzz. I think being out there especially if it is in wild unpopulated areas is the biggest attraction for me getting fish is just a bonus. Pat.

Because for those few hours im sitting in my kayak throwing lures around, nothing else matters. All the thoughts of uni, work and any other rubbish thats going on at the time is non existent. Also, having your line come up tight, rod buckle and a screaming drag is the best feeling you can have with your pants on

I started fishing, seriously, a weird way. when I was 13 I went down to the barra park, didn't catch a fish but still somehow got hooked . anyway from there it unfolded into my favourite sport/pastime. the thing I think finds me coming back for more is just being conected as one with the natural world around me. sometimes it's just the little things like the sound of the birds and bugs going about their daily buisness or you nail the perfect cast, everything comes together and you hook into a good fish. I guess it is just the aticipation and the fact that you are going into the 'unknown' every time you're on the water. that's what keeps me coming back anyway

Thumbs up a healthy form of gambling

Other than of obvious benifits
You never know how the day is going to turn out.
You could get that prize fish you have been chasing and it could decide
To hit your lure on that famous one last cast. For me the best satisfaction is when you thank the fish by releasing it back to fight another day.
