60 hp merc efi help

I just replaced a 50hp tohatsu tldi and have put a 2008 merc 60 efi. I seem to have a fuel problem sucking the fuel through the main fuel filter on my boat. Before i replaced the motor i never had any problem. Now the motor idles fine and when i give it some revs it drains the fuel out of my filter on the boat into the motor filter and when that is empty it dies. tried replacing the filter and still no go. When you blow through fuel lines back into tank all seems ok.checked fuel pump and injector getting plenty of fuel until filter runs out. Help?

Simple - put the Tohatsu back on

If you replaced the primer bulb, test it as I have had one out of the packet with the valves put in incorrectly and flowing opposite to the arrow.
