I've used http://www.smartsend.com.au/ before.. Grab some 90mm storm drain pipe from bunnings for about $13, pack rod in the pipe, tape the ends very well.

As Smokin said, Transdirect. I used them a couple of times and under $30 delivered. Have a look on their website.

Cheers,

I've used ego.com.au on a number of occasions and found them the cheapest and reliable. They pick up from your door and deliver to the recipients door.

Mo sent me a 7'2" one piece via Aus Post. The rod was in 90mm PVC pipe. I think it was bout this time last year and to a PO Box, but I don't know if the rules are still the same

Your local must be better then mine. I got a point blank refusal, sent it via transdirect cost me less $27.50.

What was the price from Aus post?

Cheers
