No Jigs!!

Has anyone tried using wrigglies without a proper jig but just a running sinker? Its a jig saving idea when fishing in snaggy waters. Just wondering if it works just as well or do bream shy off a bit.

I did that once for flathead and as expected they still took it, although I dont think bream will take them as the softies wont swim very well without the jigheads

When I first tried out softies (some that were given to me) I never had any jig heads. What I did was i stuck a jig on the same running sinker rig i used for bait. I just jigged this over the side of the jetty and i had a lot of hits but never hooked up so i gave them up for a while. A few days ago a gave them my first real go and I used a jig head and i caught my first fish on a softie. Because of this I think the hook up rate with jig heads is far greater.
