Where are you fishing?

Also the Maria range might be worth a look at if these bream are really damaging the lure.

They retail around $13 - No point chucking lures any pricier in such a situation.

As you metioned stiffys are good, the strike pro range of lures are all good and under $20, Cultiva Mira shads are also worth a look, not to mention pretty tough, some places have ecogears for under $20.

Maria jerk shads are brilliant! Also Cranka cranks and shads. Atomic cranks and shads too. Daiwa Dr Minnows and Shiners also.

Also Bassday shads and Daiwa pressos are around the $20.

Just remembered Rapala XR6 X-raps to and Berkleys Scum dog/sub dog. Jazz Zappers for surface action.

Try searching "ecogear" on ebay. There are heaps of lures for $12 each from a seller atm. I placed an order last week and I will see how it goes when they arrive.

River2Sea and Damiki also made some good budget lures.

If that's really the case I would change to soft plastic......

Last year whe the pikes were going crazy I used softplastic most of the time to save my hardbodies....
