Outboard leg dropping

Hi - the leg on my 40hp yamaha keeps dropping down fairly slowly no matter where it is trimmed to either in or out of the water. Anyone know what this might be or how complex the fix is?

Cheers
Darren

There's a pressure loss somewhere. Any fluid loss?

Also check the manual release screw usually accessible from the side thru the mounting bracket. Loosen it (careful the motor will drop) and re seat - not to tight its only plastic.

Check your fluid level and bleed by up and downing several times. Any thing more than that becomes a more specialist job.
