2500 reel for Nitro Traveller 007 2-4kg

Hi all,

Anyone using a 2500 reel for the Innovator Nitro Traveller 2-4kg rod?

Anyone using the Shimano Ci4 500...? Interested in knowing about your experiences... what about maximum kg braid?

Steez?

...so the Steez,... with the Traveller? And it's a 2500?

So are you happy with the balance of it... How are you finding the Nitro Traveller 2-4 kg? Best catch?

if basscada reckons a steez matches nice then the ci4 should be sweet too. 5 grams difference.
re: braid kg- it really depends what your chasing and how much capacity you need. i run 200m of pe 0.6(12lb) daiwa bay jigger on my 2508 steez and its great. id probably say 15-20lb would be the max you'd wanna run considering maximum usable drag capacity etc.

Thanks, yakkadan,...

So,... how do you know how much backing mono to put on your spool before putting on the braid? And, how do you know how much line you will need for different fishing situations? Sorry about the dumb questions,... still trying to get it sorted!

thanks, jmc

yep balance is fine, dont use it all that much, just when i'm travelling, and i throw it in just in case i come across a good spot for a flick.
best catch would probally be a mid fortys bass

if your reel comes with a spare spool, put as much brais as you like on it than top it off with backing line so your spool is full... than just roll it over onta your othe spool so the braid is in top

Once every so often a member of the general population comes out with something so inteligent yet so simple that I just gaze at the computer screen with awe:
