Bait finesse fans would be happy.....

I know its photos are up on the net for a while but finally Abu has put its info on their website. The Revo LTX.

http://www.purefishing.jp/products_2.../revo_ltx.html

Being only 154g with drilled shallow spool, 7.9 gear ratio and the most important "saltwater friendly". Mates who enjoy casting tiny lures on BC rod to bream and bass would be happy include me. Time to save up some $$$$$.

Cheers.

Becos they are all under the purefishing.co .

U may also find some Daiwa's and Abu's bc reel frames look similar and their handles are exchangable.

Haha, don't mean to make a debate, merely joking around.

It does look good that for sure.

Wow very interesting find. I reckon it will give the new Alphas Finesse Custom a run for its money, along with the other competitors. However, I doubt it can top the original pixy or the Conquest 51s. That spool looks pretty sick though, but I don't think those holes will work well for saltwater use. The 7.9:1 gear ratio is also something interesting, after using a 7.3:1, I felt it was lacking in torque, so not too sure how a 7.9:1 would go. Thanks for sharing kakaryan!

What Daiwa really disappointed me and pissed me off recently is that they made all of their new finesse BC reels freshwater only. palmface. I know, I know they are designed for use in freshwater bass but for that money I dont mind if they used saltwater friendly internals.

Out of the box, the Daiwa's mag brake system is very good IMO. For Abu's, I usually do some mod. to it myself. I remember I hv seen from some Japanese site that claimed the Revo LTX will be using Morrum's brake system which is a plus, but it is not confirmed at this stage. For the drilled spool issue, yes, I agree. Maybe better to wrap it with some tape.

Besides, Daiwa has also released a new "T Wing" concept. I think many of you already know this as it is already on the Daiwa Aus website.

Enjoy.

Hmmm, lots of holes in that ABU spool, I'd be worried about salt getting in it via wet line/braid. I know Daiwa have a lot of freshwater reels but I can agree with some of their reasoning behind it. First thing to remember is they make heaps of reels for their bass market, which is all freshwater. Even on their SW models I worry about salt getting into any holes on the spools, thats why I meticulously clean my reels after each use, especially my BC gear. IMO if you can remove the spool, clean any salt spray from around it with a wet cloth and let it dry in a cool area it will prolong the life of the reel, more so than just wiping the outside of the reel and spraying or cleaning it with a lubricant.
