Fluoro straight through

Hi,

Why is everyone making the change from braid to fluoro right through, talked to a few guys on the weekend and they have fluoro right through aswell. What's the pros and cons?

Cheers,

Todd

pros:more shock absortion better diserperance in water.

cons:less sensitivity shorter cating distance

mostly from what i know fluro is mostly used for hb's because usually fish hit hb's and sesitivity is not an issue but if your fishing finiky fish on plastics then you wont feel them and be able to strike

It really depends on what you want to use it for. I fish alot of really clear canals and fish 3lb fluro straight through purely to increase the number of bites I get. Deffinatly reduces sensitivity but as long as you run it on a stiff rod you get the hang of it pretty quick. I also run the same line throwing hards on flats when the water is clear for the same reasons. Just remember that if you do go the light fluro straight through you really have to fight the fish smart, it breaks alot lighter then braid of the same rating tends to.
