reel maintanance
hi, I was wondering how I should wash my reels after each use. I currently just rinse with fresh water then dry them. Should I do anything else?

generally i'd rinse with low pressure and bit of a lube

Remember to do the drag up before washing them.
Every time I go fishing I rinse with water, house on light spray. go over with a sponge and some soppy water then rinse. Shake the water off then undo the drag, once dry a spray of inox on all the bits that move.

( dont tell the girlfriend ) I bring my rod and reel and wash it under luke warm water in the kitchen then dry it with a tea towel. Its the only tap with hot water i can fit a 7foot item both ways haha.
