Emeraldas Infeet 2506

Just seen the Emeraldas Infeet 2506 for the first time and for the price it looks the goods(around $220 I think). Wanted to know if anyone has used this and what do they think? Or anyone that has a different Emeraldas how are they as a bream reel?

Or would the MX Gekka be a better option....

Would mainly be for Bream and trout with the odd bit of Eging.

I pair it with my TMZ-i rod and have used it for half year. For that dollar you get the shallow air spool and eva knob and the cool colour I have no complain.

I also have a 2500 spool to put on it for heavier job.

Gekka would be smaller and a bit lighter in weight. It will balance the combo better if you use shorter rod. But for eging I bet your rod won't be too short? For that multi-purpose I'll prefer 2506 size rather than 2004......

Cheers.

Would be going on a 7'6'' rod. How smooth is the reel? Do they feel similar to a Luvias?

Big ask from a reel about half the price.. I'm curious to know the answer too.

Well, I don't own any high end spinning reel, so I can't compare. I used to invest the $$$ into rod and baitcaster.....

And for sure I can tell you the retrieve is not as smooth as my other higher end baitcaster. Out of the box, its smoothness is near my Stradic FH (the white and gold one), but it works flawlessly. The drag has never failed me.

And after I did some cleaning and re-oiling job, the retrieve became smoother.

If you would like to see the real thing.....

cant comment on the INF but the other emeraldas's are tops!
I have the collosal and the older jap 2506 , the colossal is a little overkill for bream imo,its basicly a certate hyper 2500r with a 2508 air spool and a little lighter (20g lighter).
the 2506 though would be perfect for breaming (I use mine for eging), it is just like the older airity 2506 only the emma has a cool green/purple paintjob (lol not that that really matters..)
I really like the emeraldas's, they are great reels.
cheers!

The are a lovely reel for the coin.

I bought one to be used on my Daiwa Egee Interline, havn't yet had the chance to try them out together though.

I did, however, grab a 2 - 4kg Berkley Dropshot to pair with it for flatties & pinkies and it didnt miss a beat. Very smooth and has a lovely drag. And heck it looks great.
