Drag assembly for hyper exist 2500 spool

hey guys, recently changed the drag on one of my units. hyper exist branzino. the guy that initially put the carbontex washers in stuffed up. brought it to another shop where they sort of "rectified it".

still not a 100% confident.

thus anyone have diagrams on the drag assembly of hyper exist spools?
also how many drag washers are needed?

cheers

Are you talking about an Exist Hyper Custom or the Exist Hyper Branzino? Either way, the drag system on both of those reels should be the same as the Steez or Exist.

there are 4 drag washers in there and carbontex washers need to be greased. Either Cal Sheet 2 speed drag grease or Shimano Gear/Drag grease will do the job nicely.

The metal washers need to be in the right position as well. Check your diagram and re-arrange accordingly.

Its very simple stuff. What is exactly wrong with it currently??

I don't get it, if you put it back to stock without any problems, then why don't you just replace the stock felt washers with the carbontex one? Simple enough, shouldn't have any problem assembling it if you managed to assemble it back to normal working condition with stock drag washers.

nah mate the carbontex washers were "matched" in terms of size. they were however firstly smaller in diameter abt 2mm off. secondly there were placed wrongly by the first tackle shop. thus in the end i decided to just go back to stock ...
