hey mate, try using them around structure of some form such as weedbeds, pylons, pontoons, sunken timber and drop offs. as for the retrieve try a few different ones such as a slow roll and twitch and pause. good luck with the bream mate

Any structure is a bream magnet, weed beds, flats, snags, drop offs and bridges. when your over flats try for a floating lure that dives a little bit deeper than the water you're fishing; crank it down, bang it on the bottom and let it float up a little and repeat that till its all the way in. Near snags go for a suspending lure, cast it as close a possible give it a wiggle and a crank and just let it hang there. In weed beds target sandy holes surrounded by weed and use a shallow diving floating or suspending hardbody. In deep channels vibes and blades are always worth a try.
Hope this helps good luck

Best advice I can give is don't use the same all day if it's not working. Even if it's just a colour change, look to change you lure every 20mins or so. Try different diving depths, shapes and once you get your confidence then you can play with different retrieves and more.

Hey,

I like flow and plenty of it, areas around rock walls or natural banks that have eddy's and the like. Some days the fish like the lure coming with the tide other times against it.

Best bet is to get out on dead low tide, look for rubble beds, ribbon weed with broken sand, oyster/ rock bars, coffee rock, reef ect. Basically any thing that some shelter or looks like a fish can lay in ambush.

Cheers,

Not really, and as much as I like plastics these days, and vibes, I find I'm using hards again when there are times when the others just don't seem to get a hit. What I have found it that They are great for bumping along and over things where the plstics would sink and get caught or get too far in to pull a fish out. JMO.
