Out of those, the chubby is my pick.. I've been catching some elbow slapper whiting on a deep diver alongside the bream... Flatties, grunter and cod too.

in WA the fat dog is best.
in TAS, SA and VIC the cranka is best. in QLD the chubby is best. in different places different things work well. but all lures will catch fish in any area. pick a lure u will be confident with so u will be persistent enough to catch bream. the fat dog is cheaper so it wont matter as much wen u are starting out if u lose a few lures, and it has owner components. cheers, BTF |

Was there a reason you left out Atomic Crank 38 from the options? They seem to get very good reviews here.

They are all good, like said buy all three.
I know you didnt mention Atomic cranks but they cant be left out. Im a massive fan of the Atomic 38 cranks, I do throw chubbies alot too. It depends on the situation but the coulors I like are muddy prawn, Ayu and ghost gill (atomic) Big fan of the Brown shrimp Jackall. The mediums in the atomics are awesome for shallow rocky banks when the wind is blowing or you can fish the deep ones and bang off the rocks. That can be a great retrieve. Good luck with it all. Hi Mark,
I like the hickory. Do you think one day in the future they might make a bigger version? Cheers Chris |

The berkley fat crank bait lure is soon becoming the lure I throw when I dont want to lose an exspensive one.....they catch fish but they arent a real constant performer, but for the price who can complain?
I have some cranka cranks, but as they are still sitting in the boxes...my verdict is out. I'd reccomend chubbies by far, they cast well, great action...and they account for some great fish.
