Zeebaas RB20

Hi All,

I am thinking getting the Zeebaas RB 20 (With Bail) for some light offshore work. Anyone has any experience with them? Now dollar is so high, building up a very tempting situation

Cheers,

Chesney

A friend of mine ordered one from tackle direct in the USA, but had a lot of problems and eventually they told him they didn't have one in stock and it would take several months to get in before they could post it out, so he bought an accurate twin spin instead. He's very happy with it.
The Zeebass does seem vey nice though

Yeah I had similar experience with Tackle Direct 1-2 years ago regarding the Zeebaas. Except I didn't even get a response. Luckily I asked before I buy. Back then those Zeebaas comes with the wooden box. Not anymore.

Anyway I just ordered one on Ebay last weekend, hopefully will be here soon.

Just received the Zeebaas 20, very stunning reel. Love the long handle, and the look, drag seems smooth and powerful.

The retrieve is very mechanical, and definitely not as butter-smoothed comparing to Saltiga and Stella.

It took 1.5 weeks to get here, so not too bad

Amazing... let me confirm.
The zx2x is the body, and any spool/handle/rotor is compatible?
This could be my next offshore spin reel, seeing as it is so versatile, and I'd literally be covered for absolutely everything with the one reel, which helps justify the exuberant pricetag.
I'd take my time with research, saving (probably 50-100 p/w as to not overbudget, have plenty of time to change mind etc).
I wonder if they'll release any custom gears.. to change between low and hi speed
Would be nice to interchange black & white parts... for the bling

Yeah the reel body is standard, then you can match the spool with the rotor. Not sure what sort of price for the parts though. Judging from the price tag with the aftermarket Jap reel parts, probably I can't be bother to get the parts, save the fund and get a different reel. It cant be switched in a jiffy anyway. Don't mind a spare spool though.

I have seen some custom one, and its amasing with black and white scheme. I have seen the red one as well.
