Rapalas for bream!

hey guys,
I have had great sucess using big rapalas lately. I use the magnum CD11 in the fire tiger color and find i hook most of them in the side. Maybe the bream are more territorial than most of us think? Generally the bream are about a kilo in weight. any thoughts....
thanks, luke.
