they do look very nice!!
Dunno bout the 34k price tag. I mean yes, it's what it's worth but you can get bass boats for that price to. I guess it just depends on what exactly ones use for it is.

OK?
Blah, I think they look terrible. lol ![]() Not to sure who these would appeal too, but you'd be mad not to get a glass boat at the price they're asking. Painted they wouldn't look half bad. |

For that money you can get a bass boat with 115hp brand new in Australia! Very hard to justify when they have almost no advantage over the glass equivalant. And doesn't look nice
Cheers Chris

Tuff crowd, if you put a decent wrap on it I'm sure many would say WOW how nice are these new horizons, if they had a bit more freeboard I'm sure they would sell well in the TOPEND barra market..Crocs are getting too checky for my liking to sit that close to the water but in saying that there are a few skeeters starting to fish/win the big barra comps in the territory, barra classic and nationals etc. must be a market if horizon have brought this comp model into production...good luck to a Aussie boat building company I say.

The picture without paint or a wrap is definately not doing them any favours. Very small back deck too

I'm looking to get a smaller custom version but struggling to find anyone who can give a review of the performance of the 5m model!
They are pricey but I don't want glass after seeing what rock and timber can do to the gel coat of a skeeter (not under power) at a recent comp on the murray, which I'm assured is pretty damn expensive to fix. There are plenty of advantages of alloy over glass for the type of fishing i do around and in structure, and I won't need a v8 tank to tow it either ![]() If anyone knows someone who owns one please let me know ![]() cheers |

Yep I can vouch for that, very expensive to fix. I wouldn't be looking to run into rocks in any boat, they all cost money to fix. I tow a 18.9' boat with a comy, tows fine but costs a bomb in petty. When you hit a bit of chop and are at top speed is when you see the difference, you're backside will be screaming out "thank you for buying a glass boat"
Thats why I got mine, I had a trip back up lake mac in 35-40 knot winds and I couldn't go over 8 knots the whole way back, every wave smashing into the boat and jaring up through my back. took ages and I was dieing to be back on land after a lengthy trip. That was in a much smaller boat (4.25mtr)Cheers Chris
