sub doggies
i grabbed a berkley sub dog by mistake this arvo . never used one before . they any good ? how do u fish with them ?

never a mistake haha there pretty good castin tight to structure letit sink slowly then twitch it out always let it sink back down again. if you hold your rod high enough they can be surface lures the good bit is if you get a hit just let it sink down and they usually pick it up.

Fish them how you would fish a plastic and in all the same locations its that easy. Lift and drop, twitch, slow wind all the usual. Colour wise start with the basic more natural for clearer water, brighter for dirtier rule until you find a pattern retrieve combo that works. The shiny 'fishy' colours work well with a dying baitfish twitch and sit and the more natural prawny brown colours are good for a one, two, three rip like a fleeing prawn.
They work best at times when a plastic is a little too 'dead' but a rattly hardbody is too much. Have a play smky |

i'v caught some nice trevally and queenies on those sub dogs great lure :P
