that happend to my sedona. does it have sand in it?
if it does u have to take every thing apart and brush all the sand out. and "bath" the inside parts in wd-40 over night. then put it back together. it will never be the same but it still will work |

yeah i had a advantage and we were at nsw and i put a sand spike in, but it was not deep enough and while i was looking for the bait a boat came past and it made a wave it took it for a swim and hade only had it for 4 months, then my dad tryed to fix it, but he broke something now the spool dosent go on
but i still have the rod

that sucks mate. i drop one of my combos off my yak in about 6m of water spent a while jigging a vibe off the bottom to get the line. sure enough got it back covered in mud and sand. so i cut the line and lure off and wound the reel while submerjed in freshwater and that did the trick. then i let it dry out pulled the spool off the bail and handle blew what was left out with air compressor packed it with lube and daiwa oil good as new.
