Pfluger XT Patriarch Spin reels

Following on from my other thread lookn for reels for my BassStix. Does anyone have or has trialled the Xt Patriarch spin reel from Pflueger? All the info relating to this reel sounds great plus it would look awesome sitting on the BassStix. Kinda matching the 2 together. Cheers Gav.
p.s: what website do people look at to view new reels etc that comes with a price tag. DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh havent got them in yet & their the only one I really know, coming from Sawtell near Coffs Harbour.

I haven't read reports from anyone yet... Was considering one myself but ended up with a Steez.

You can be the first to try one and let the rest of us know. :P

Gav,
There an excellent choice. there the next step up from the supreme xts. like the supreme they have a magnesium body, graphite handle and all the bling. the main cosmeticaly visual aspect of the reel is the spool which is carbon fibre instead. so it weighs less again. ive held and played with them but dont own any yet. they are coming for next years season to all my rods.

look like an awesome reel, if your okay with getting stuff from overseas than you can get them from a particular ebay store (the only one who has them) landed in OZ for $230 AUD.
I was toying with getting one a few weeks back but i couldnt find the extra $70 so i went the Supreme XTX
Cheers

I'll see what I can do about getting my local to get them in or see Tacklepower at Charlestown or Sandgate if they have them already. Would be nice to do a comparo of the reel on the rod. Cheers Gav.
IMO the reel looks as though it was designed to match your rods Duffman.

Going off the supreme xt sizing I'll go with the 9030.

9035 I would guess to be a 2500 size. Personally I would choose the 9030 if your using it for breamin.

Pflueger vs Shimano

A rough guide but basically the bream size is going to be the 30. 35's are getting a little large and best suit rods in the 3-6kg class.
If you want something around the size of a 1000 shimano then you'll want the 25 pflueger.

Going heavier, 35's I guess are around the 3000 Daiwa size, give or take.

Judging by my 35 medalist it's certainly larger than my 2500 shimanos, very noticeable difference.

Gav if you go to tackle power at charlestown then gordens got a full range of the rods as well. see jonny and he'll sort it out for you. the new reel do match the bassSTIX pretty well.
