Testing the new CX40HS

Finally slipped out for a few hours to try the new Ecogear CX40.

Caught some very nice bream working these baits against the deep river grass edges. The internal weights allow good casting distance for a compact lure with a large bib....I was also able to dive these lures down to around 2 metres easily....so far so good...

I only have one of the protoypes and there where a few tense moments trying to stop a couple of 40+ models from getting back into the nasties along the banks....

GTX....No close up....forgot to do one.....

I suspect you'll see plenty over the coming months....

Here's a pic of a good fish I caught near a road bridge on the way to that session.....My first Derwent bream of spring....@43FL...Nasty place to land a bream with cars wizzing by while you dealing with a big bluenose....Lots of beeping horns...

Average size for the day was 41....
