Maria Lures

Wanted to get some thoughts on these.

Personally I think they represent excellent value. I couldn't honestly say that there is daylight in quality between them and premium $18-$30 alternatives. I have caught a few decent fish in my short time fishing with them as well.

Why is there such a difference in price? Are they made in Japan?

Japanese design and manufacture, quality paint jobs, good price, good colour schemes, whats not to like?

I've only swum the shallow crank and it casts a mile, swims straight and I got hits so yep it will get a good run in the near future.

I've got a 2 x shallow floating cranks, 2x deep floating cranks and a couple of medium suspending jerk bait type ones and don't have a bad word to say about them.

My experience is the same as yours. Swim straight, good casting, nice colours, quality hooks and rings...I just wanted some feedback from other people who probably have a lot more experience than me with quality lures.

It feels like a an entrernity since the bream in SA have shown a liking to some crankbaits.... Well today in less than Ideal conditions I managed to crack a solid edgebite and ended up bagging around 20 bream and a heap of Salmon.

The best was 39 to the tip (around a kilo) and the pther were allaround 33-35 to the tip.

Maria Shads in the shrimp colour was the key... I decided to puit it on after I had caught a salmon tht regurgitated a heap of small shrimp...

Instant action, match the hatch style... A massive bream stole it from me around 1:30pm, not having another I pulled the boat off the water and went straight to the tackle shop to replace it plus grab a few of its identical siblings...

Enjoy the pics...

Shauno, nice work buddy, sounds like a decent session. Would've been fresh out there today, and not perfect conditions but you've done well....

Love that colour too!

They are an excellent lure, the shallow crank gets pretty deep.
