New Shimano Rods (Miller-Raiders)

After looking at a couple of the Shimano rods.

Liking the Stella more than the Stradic, I've decided that if I like the Squdgy spin when I see it I'll buy that.
(Liked the Squidgy Bass, but a bit stiff, hope the Squidgy spin is a bit "lighter" but not as much as the Stradic 7')

Teamed up with a nice reliable, cheap Okuma AV15.

I was in a tackle shop yesterday, and the guy said I should hold off on buying for a few weeks as Shimano has a new range coming out soon that is VERY nice. Ian Miller has confirmed this over at Sportfish.com, saying that some new rods are coming out that he has had input on, the Shimano-Raider series.

I have a question for any Squidgy/Stella users out there.
Is there anything lacking in these rods that could be improved upon (for the price range)?

Should I wait to see what these new rods are like?

Cheers

Bierdo

I know that one "improvement" over the Steve Starling series is the use of Fuji guides.

Raider Rods

Bierdo,
I saw the Raider Rods at the Tackle Show recently and they are an awesome and very affordable rod. But I was informed yesterday that they are still around a month away . Okuma also has a great range of breaming but have also been pulled out of the price list for modifications and wont be able to be purchased to 2004? The Squidgy rods are an awesome rod and extremely affordable and I reccommend the 7" foot Squidgy Spin. Team it up with a Daiwa Samurai, Kastor or Laguna and you will have a kick arse outfit for between $200 and $320 depending on which reel you buy.
