Cork knobs on reels

Hi Guy's,

Just after your views on cork knobs on reels what is the purpose behind them?

Weight saving and perhaps a bling factor.

Personally i dont like em as i dont think that they are durable or last long!!

i just put one on my new sol. the rcs one has a clear plastic over the cork. looks good imo. no real benefit

All diawa knobs are compressed cork anyhow, just with a black, or grey rubber coating...

The RCS type are the same excpet the coating is clear, the ones you want are the limited edition ones from reels such as CVZ and some Ito reels, these are pure cork, as per a rods grips, no coatings...

They will obviously show wear though, like your grips do upon contact with dirty hands...
