Maybe there should be a junior ABT section ?
I am not sure how it would work tho but it does seem the ABT are not encouraging junior anglers, maybe bring the age to 14 or 15 ?

Why don't you young blokes jump on the fishing monthly site and take it ip with the Abt boss you may get your questions answered. As for " giving the pros a run for their money" be very careful, bagging out socially is one thing doing it for two days in a place that's been flogged by the best of the best for 3 days is a whole different ball game.

keep plugging away for the next few years mate and you'll be a better fisho for it!!
Your spot on Dan, a social session is one thing...consistently producing the goods under tournament pressure is another....

Now you want them to look after a kids comp. ![]() There are some classic events around now that let under 16 year olds fish with a parent. That's pretty good This is going to upset a few out there, but with having 4 kids at home. I don't want to turn up to an ABT comp and then have to look after a 14 year old on the water !unless they are one of my own. So kids, keep your land based and fishing with your parents happening and when you reach 16 give it a go. |

Wouldn't there be a social bream club somewhere in Melb that you could get involved with?
