my lad turned my sounder on the other day for about ten minutes and the boat was sitting in the shed. will this do any damage to my sounder or the transducer? i'm hoping nothing went wrong.

It can burn out and is generally not a thing to do but most times you get away with it.

If it works next time your in water it should be fine.

It should be fine. I have heard plenty of stories of guys leaving them on all the way home from the boat ramp with no ill effects.
