re-circ system in my Tracker Pro 175

Hey All,

Not sure how many of you are around that have a Tracker or even know about them, I recently purchased one and love it but I am having an issue with understanding how the re-circ system works.

Basically what I need to do is pull out one of the bungs that allows water to rush into the bottom of the hull, once full I can turn on the system and it fills the live wells but the problem I have is they don't empty out, I know all of you will be thinking that it is blocked but I can assure it isn't I have flushed it out while out of the water.

So I am just really unsure how this works I have tried to do some research on some U.S based websites but had no joy.

Realistically, 4 livewells are not required but thats what they have in there. I am thinking of putting a bilge on the outside of the boat and having the overflow run out like an offshore setup to make things easier.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Its easy. There should only be one bung in the actual hull that has to go in. Its the one with the aluminium lip. Put the bung in that screw it up tight. IF you dont do it to this one you will end up with a hull full of water like yardi did at walpole .

Then put the small rubber push in bung into the livewell. Then turn the aerator switch on to manual so water pumps from the river or estuary into the livewell. When its full switch it to auto. To recirculate the water make sure the red nozzle in the right of the livewell is pushed in. This recirculates. You can use auto or manual again. Then to drain the well, pull the red nozzle out and it pumps from the livewell back into the river or estuary. It wont drain it fully, you will need to wait til your back on the trailer and then pull the livewell drain bung out. Very easy.

you lost me at "it's easy".

There are 2 bungs with the aluminiom lip and inbetween them there is the rubber bung you refer to. If I leave it out the bottom of the boat will fill up. When you say to put it in the livewell where do you mean exactly as there is on the inlet point and then the PVC pipe that screws into the bottom of the well.

Mine is a 2001 model so if you have one that is newer they may have made some changes to the system because the way you have described it is totally different to what I see.

I will take some photos and post them to show how mine is setup over the next couple of days.

It sounds like one of the bungs you have at the rear of the boat was meant to be the pick up for your livewell. It should have the pump in connected to it. Bit hard to tell without seeing it.
If that was the case then you wouldnt need to open the bung to let water in, the pump would just draw it in.
Maybe post some pics and might be able to give a better idea of whats wrong.
