I haven't done it yet although Bream usually do it for me
![]() Probably just some very fine sand paper would do it, wouldn't be perfectly clear just a little cloudy

Try scotch brite pads they will remove the paint without smoothing off the scales etc on the lure, give them a rince everyso often.

I have done it by dipping the lure into a can of paint stripper. Be careful as some plastic eat away before others.
I dip it in for a short time then let it sit for a minute or so then just wipe it. I also give them a buff with a polishing disc on a bench grinder.I use brasso for the polish. It will not give you the very best result you may be looking for but it has suited me to use some hated coloured lures back to a very useable clearish. |

Bunnings used to stock a paint stripper that was citrus based - takes a while to work but does the job - be worth giving that a go i reckon

How does pimp my lure do it? I have thought of airbrushing some of mine, but nit quite sure how to go about stripping back the lures.
Is there some kind of cheap sandblasting alternative? |

brake fluid works
Not as gutsy as paint stripper.

p 800 + sandpaper. 2000 gives it a really glossy finish. if i was going to paint over it id give the surface a finely course finish rather than ultra smooth so the pait will stick.

im pretty sure a fine grade sand or bead blast will take the paint off without hurting the lure much at all think thats how pml do it as well

I seriously cant imagine sitting at home with some fine sand paper and sandpapering a tiny lure for 7 hours. This conjures up images of someone really old, sitting on a stool - pealing a mountain of potatos, to make one "kettle" chip. ![]()
