trebble hooks

i just took all my trebble hooks of the belly of the my lures is that a good thing to do or a bad thing because i found that the lure swims more freely .
35mm scorpions
sx40
attack lures
crank baits, shallow
and what trebble hooks do you guys recomend .thank you.
