The light one will be sufficient for bream lures, especially when u consider the light lines normally used when breaming. Ideally you should have 2, like I do. A light one for small/smallish lures and a big one for bass/barra lures
![]() The idea of tacklebacks (I'm assuming u mean the one that slides down the line and not the ones connected to a pole), is for it to knock it free so it helps when u can drop it from near vertical. Some tacklebacks have chains built in to grab parts of the lure but they arent really readily available in Oz. If the first drop doesnt work, just do it over and over and jig it a bit. Remember to make sure the metal bits on the tackleback are smooth, or it'll fray/cut the line! Hope this helps

i have the medium tackleback and use it on all lures, well those that are snagged underwater
![]() ![]() i'd hate to think how many lures i would have lost if it wasn't for the tackleback also the amount of times i get the thing out and it 'scares' the lure off the snag... ![]() ![]()

Useful landbased, but you need to have the tackleback run down the line, so if the angle of the line isn't great enough, the tackleback won't slide down to the lure and it won't work. Have to do some tricky manouvering of rod held high and line held tight to encourage it to go down. Easier if the lure is snagged close to shore or if the water is deep. Useless for shallow water if the lure is snagged a long way out (shore based that is of course).

most will say no but i have used it heaps landbased and yet to lose a lure. It can be a lot more difficult as it works best from a vertical angle.

I've found the success rate of using a tackle back land based to be extremely high, I wouldn't leave home without it.

If you are in a situation where the angle of the dangle is not quite right get someone to hold the rod as high as they can and then really fling the TB down the line. Word of warning check you r leader knot for damage after using it as it can give it an almight knock. No good getting the lure back and losing it to a fish next cast because your knot pops.
