Tournament Trailers (how?)

Do any of you guys make your own?

I've up sized trebles on my micros because they only last 3-4 fish, I've found with bigger trebles my lure gets eyeballed for longer and I get allot less hook ups...
I'd normally hit up youtube for a "how to fly lure making vid" but... I've used all my downloads for the month already lol

I've been given some stuff to work with.
I've got coloured dacron, artifical fur and real fur of assorted colours.

What colour/type of fur/dacron would be best?
What would be the best way to attach it? cotton, nylon, glue... ect...ect?

Any advice or links would be much apreciated.

Stewart.

I'd stick with colours similar to the lure.

Try putting in a little bit of Krystal Flash for added shine, attract a bit more attention: http://www.DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh.com.au/index.cfm...roduct_id=2452

I've never been able to figure out what they use to tie them on, i was thinking Dental Floss but wouldn't know how to finish off tying it. Probably some very fine mono (try under 4lb) then whip finish it off.

For the main part of material most things would work like Buck tail although something synthetic would be better as its more durable i'm guessing.

(Ha, really need to get into fly fishing. Too much time watching Youtube and DVD's)

DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh have a pretty good range of fly tying materials and tools just incase you need anything.

flytying thread
3-4 feathrs (saddle hackle is best)
a few lengths of mylar

done

this is dead easy
the only shock is how much they charge to sell you
a simple one when you can tie an easier one for so much cheaper and better

dental floss is waxed and way too coarse
try 8/0 or 6/0 fly tying thread or flat waxed nylon at the most
go into a tackel shop 10 minutes and 10 bucks and the guys there will show you

its really really easy - seriously

or - tell me what you want and I'll make and sell them to you
cheaper than the ones shown, better and whatever colour you want
