Thumbs up Ski area Albany...

Some good news from the guys at ABT.

Attn Albany WA Boaters
by marcel_krieger ยป Wed May 26, 2010 9:53 am

Please note that on the info sheet and in previous years we have made the Ski Zone out of bounds. I have consulted the Emu Point Fishing Club who regularly run tournamnets on this waterway and have a good relationship with the Ski Club.

There is no scheduled Water Ski events this weekend (probably because it's going to be cold) therefore I am allowing anglers to fish these waters. I repeat the Ski Zone will not be out of bounds this weekend.

Please be aware that boats may still use this area at high speed and if you are fishing on electric power must still remain out of the way. We don't want any accidents.

I will repeat this information on Friday night at the briefing.Cheers,

Marcel Krieger

Well thats good news. It's a fair chunk of the river so will make it less crowded.

Cheers, Dror

I'm assuming this is a good spot to fish? All we need now is to be able to fish the oyster racks and some sunshine. I just want to catch some Bream.

Cheers
Tim

I would warn anybody thinking about fishing the ski area to seriously re-think their gameplan...some very strange folk like that part of the river...

I would have thought any Bream worth its salt would stay away from noisy ski areas
