Its Alive!

Well after 2 months shopping, 10 weeks transit, the new tub has arrived.

Its a Kencraft Seaking 198B 2007 model. It came with a 2007 90hp Yam with only 47 hours but I had a 3 hr old 130 ETEC so we switched!

Just need to make a bracket for the Kota and she is comp ready. Oh yes the X16 is up for sale shortly so if anyone wants a great Bream Boat let me know!

Its hard work getting a boat from the US but if ou know what you want and do your homework its worth it.

We now have a great family boat (a change in priorities) that I can take up North or out to Rotto or fish comps.

Bubba I was parked next to your boat about 9 this morning at the Burns Bch/Marmion lights???? Thinkin', "that's a nice rig" " wonder if he is heading up to Mindarie to launch"? Didn't realise it was you.

When we drove over the hill at Quinns the sea looked mint, and I was pineing for a day out on the Sea Kin

Looks like you just took it home and polished the chrome

Well I drove it off the trailer yesterday. Then I backed it up on the pontoon waiting for bubba to get on the boat after parking the car. My first words to him were "bass boats suck I want one of these"

Then at 43mph with an overpitched prop I was thinking the same.

Then crossing melville water I was thinking the same.

Even when he had it out of the water on the initial crossing to the narrows I was drooling while sh!tting my pants.

He even got the first legal fish on board it (at the time it was legal anyway damn shrinking livewell fish) I even had to lost a horse just to let him christen it.

I give it 4 out of five bream fillets. It would get one more if we actually caught anything to weigh in yesterday.

Thanks chaps.

Yeah was quite a nice ride actually. Not the best conditions to test out a new boat for the first time but we survived and were generally quite dry. Going side on to the wind didnt help Yatesy stay dry but I dropped it back a bit in speed and it was fine.

Only hairy moment was getting quite airborne near the narrows. Mind you Don and Shane also got airborne

Once I get the prop worked out I think it will go very well. Its only revving to 4850 with the 21 inch prop so I am going to try a 19.

Well worth all the effort in getting one over here from the US

One thing I will say tho. It DEFFINATELY needs a 24v Kota in strong wind. Had a fair amount of trouble under the NArrows with it being a giant wind funnel. Once I get that and the new HDS Sounder it will all be done!
