Electric size & price

Just wanting to get peoples thought on the right size of electric for a 15ft canoe???

I have got an offer from a mate in the boating industry for a new kota riptide 40lb at a $400. But am unsure if this may be too much for my canoe & whether the price is good.

Also any thoughts on the humminbird matrix range of sounders????

Cheers

Hi Pukpuk, $400 is an excellent price for a 40lb Riptide (BIAS have them for $579) . Are you sure it's not a freshwater model?

Too much power is not generally a problem with an electric. You can always turn it down. You will be glad of the extra power when it gets windy.

Not sure about the matrixes. They look good on the site, but haven't used one.

Cheers
James
