Daiwa CRBB Trouble
My bro has a 50th Anniversary Zillion. He used to cast lures for tailor and salmon for 8 sessions MAX. The reel has been wiped down with a warm cloth every time, and occasionally washed in warm water with the drag tightened up. However, I noticed that the reel was a bit noisy, so I tested the spool bearings and bingo. The bearing that is on the spool was very noisy, I reckon its corroding inside. I am very surprised that a Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearing has crapped itself after 8 sessions of light saltwater fishing. Has anybody else experienced this on any of their Daiwa reels with CRBB's? Also, what should I do about it? Complain to Daiwa or just change the bearings to ABEC 7's and move on?

Take it back and let them fix it.

And never wash your reel under water....they are sometimes water resistant but never waterproof

Yeah, just get some new bearings.
Corrosion resistant is not the same as corrosion proof. If you haven't already, I recommend covering the holes on the spool with a few wraps of plumber's tape.

its quite normal........anyway,the one on the spool is 5x11x4 and the one on side plate is 3x8x4.do yourself a favor and upgrade them to ABEC 7 ceramic balls as in only the tiny balls not the whole thing for $20+ each...............bocabearing.com is the place to go.other option worth considering is the ABEC 5 for a bit less.also would work out cheaper if you opted for the 4 packs.

Yeh, it's just weird because I have a few daiwa reels that are still going after many sessions of SW use, and somehow the Zillion's bearing corroded internally after 8 sessions of light saltwater use with cleaning and occasional rinsing. I'll probably get my bro to change them to ABEC 7's. Thanks for all the advice guys.
