Trebles on Jackall Chubby lures

Does anyone routinely change over the Jackall Chubby trebles? I've caught a few fish on them and like the action of the lure, but the trebles look kind of big and I'm not too sure of the quality. Am a little hesitant to change to smaller ones in case it mucks up the buoyancy. What do others do with them?

The size is fine but they won't last past few decent fish. The quality is ok but they are a trout treble and won't take much from a toothy oyster cruncher.

Change to a similar sized Gamakatsu or Decoy.

Yup all the trebles that came with my chubbies have broken within only a couple of bream. Now, I fit all mine with vmc trebles before they even touch the water.

They used to come witk a bigger treb under the belly than on the tail but the new ones seem to have matching sizes and the quality is a little better.I just use them until they crap them selves then change to owners.
cheers nereus

jackall trebles

ive used tmc red trebles in size 12 for the chubbys, but have recently moved to melb,so will have to find a new supplier or have them sent down from brisy.
the wire on these hooks is as fine dia.as ive seen and are resonably strong.
