Tiemco Stick Minnow

Any feedback on these ?
Whats best way to work them, just like a Soft plastic.
are they only suitable for deeper water.

Im a bit confused with stick baits ,stick minow, jerkbait etc floating ,sinking

Ive never really used bibless lures, ive noticed there are sinking minows with bibs too how do you work them..

Sorry if this is stupid question , im abit of a Knuckle head

any help would be great..

Dean

stick minnows

Hey,

They work good on the flats and around structure. A twitch and pause tech works well, also a quick skip and sink when the prawns are around.

I like the brown one with the black stripes, I like using them on a long rod with a real light tip.

Regards,

Thanks for that

So keep them moving then let them sink ..

The floating ones do you just keep moving

I fish them with the same action as walking the dog surface lures.

When casting at structure I allow them to vertically sink. When they sink they wobble from side to side. You'll get hits while they are sinking so be ready.

I have not used them as a sinking surface bait as I found I had to work them too aggressively to get them to stay on the surface and to get them back to the surface after a pause. But I reckon if I could perfect that technique they would be just like a fleeing prawn diving back under.

Cheers,

Steven

i just used it like a walk the dog style just under the surface and that worked the best for me. just give it short and sharp flicks so it looks like a skitting prawn.

I've got a sinking shirasu minnow and I've found that yeah walk the dog they have said but at the right speed the swin from side to side just like a crankbait and some times twitching them up like a plastic can work too there not given enough credit I don't think

lipless stick baits like the stick minnow and sinking shirasu are one of the most deadly tools in your box can be woked from the suface down to 20 odd foot and verticaly along stucture with there sinking shimmy they can be worked in any manner and catch fish from slow rolling to walk the dog retrives to twitch and pauses...i love the things.....
