Bread Flies

Hey guys,

Over the last month or so, I've been doing a little bit of bait fishing with bread for bream to chill out (exams, study, etc), just off a small pier near my house. With only a little bread burley, I've been catching 12+ fish a session with small balls of unweighted bread on 1kg line, letting it slowly sink down through the water. Have been pulling mostly small bream, but the occasional 20cm plus fish, one out of eight or nine, will give me a real workout on 1kg line.

Anyway, how do you guys tie your bread flies? I've looked at the web a fair bit, but there's not that many good recipes around. How good do your bread flies normally need to look to catch bream and mullet?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'd love to catch these fish with the fly rod.

-Chris

Try spinning deer hair like a dahlberg head if that doesnt look good try marawool (all white) they look a bit ungainly and not at all flash but we have had succes mainly with mullet and blackfish.
