First Bass Session

Howdy all,

As the title states i went on my first bass exploration today, the goal was just to fish some water that i thought might hold some fish. So i hit the water around 6.45 this morning and began throwing poppers in small pools. As this was purely just for exploration i wasn't expecting any fish.

However in the hour and a half i spent walking through some of the most beautiful wild bass country, i managed to score 5 bass in just over an hour and a half. I got them all on R2S 45mm bubble pops and the rover 75's. I was so amazed as this is two firsts for me that being a bass, and a fish on a surface popper.

So i have caught the surface bass bug. Sorry i didnt get any pics we didnt take a camera thinking we wouldnt get any fish. But next time ill get some photos.

bass are one of my favourite fish to catch on surface lures.

Tell me about it, i ended up going down to the same area 3 mornings in the last week. I am getting use to this style of fishing and love it. Since my first trip i have caught 12 bass on poppers and got my PB yesterday of a 40 + fish.

Ill make a new post after christmas and post up some of the pics.
