How Big is TOO BIG for Bream
Breamers,
I'm just curious as what size lure you would consider too big for Bream? 60mm 70mm  Bassday has a surface lure for bream at 70mm. Thoughts.. Cheers

I used a 70mm Damiki Seami to upgrade at the VicBream Classics Glenelg River Round and it pulled a 32cm fork bream. Not the biggest fish but still upgraded one of the 29cm babies we had.
I have some 90mm lures that only come out when looking for a BIG kicker

I remember seeing a post on here about someone using a Rapala 11cm Jointed minnow in tazzy about 6 months ago. Personally for consistency I'd stick around 40-55mm but slim profile lures up to about 10cm have worked for me in the past.

If bream are in the mood they'll smack at anything. I get small bream having a go at stuff like bombers, anthrax 100 etc all the time. You don't often hook up but when you do it is always amusing.
In saying that 70mm surface stick baits are one of the most effective bream lures for me in a lot of situations.

My favorite stick baits range from 60-80ml. You might sacrifice numbers but that will be made up for in quality. Having said that it also depends on what mood the bream are in and what system you are fishing!
Ecogear MW62&70 are very effective, as are Zippy rigge 80's!

Pretty much what the other boys have said,I have got rid of most of my lures that are under 4grms just found there is no need to go that finesse. I am mainly landbased fishing so I like to be able to punch out the lures and cover some ground when fishing and in all weather.
This little guy wasn't put off by my jackall flashbelly 100mm fishing at a river mouth. Image001 (2).jpg

I'm glad those 70mm surface lures work,i'm looking forward to giving them a swim.A mate got a 37cm bream on a Xrap 10 a while back as well.

been having a lot of success on
megabass deep-x 200T 72mm megabass bait-X 66mm lucky craft staysee 80SP 80mm imakatsu killer bill minnow 125mm homemade robzam 95mm and my mate's slaying them on bassday deep shaker 75mm
