LW vs HW

Hey everyone,
is there much difference between the light wire and the heavy wire jigheads?

For 1/8 and up go heavy and set em hard, you never know when you'll hook a jew, jack, GT etc. They will open up a fine wire in no time.

I always use the heavy myself never really had a problem, they seem to set fine. I often find you buy what you can get, knowone seems to stock a full weight, size and stength set of TT's that I have come across.

The light wire TT's are good, SHARP hooks, and they set easily, but they are not the ones to pick if you have to pressure a fish. Even half decent fish can open them up or crush them. I tend to go for the heavy wire for just about all the sizes I use these days. Not a great difference in the wire, with regards to hooksetting and sharpness, but miles apart in strength.
