Poppers
What do you guys like to use? Sinking or Floating? Which type?
The only surface lures I currently have are PX45s, would love some other recommendations to spice up the tackle box a bit ![]() Ta,

just for targeting bream? i love the strike pro rack popper, although its designed for bream i tend to just use it for tailor.. relatively cheap too
but my favorite so far (for bream) is the daiwa lazy gekkabijin 5f, awesome little popper.

Can't go past bubble pop 35s and 45s, towadis, sammys, tpivots and the like. all go good in the right conditions

Are the bubble pops floating or sinking?

There's a fair few sinking poppers on the market from Maria, Bassday and Lucky Craft I think.
Lucky Craft Sammys, Atomic K9 Pups, Megabass Dog-X Jr, Smith Towadis - the list is huge. I like using the bigger ones because they are easier to work and get noticed more. I've had some BIG bream follow a Megabass Anthrax before - 85mm Lure with a seriousley awesome action!

The stiffy popper, strike pro rack popper and rebel poppers are all good floating style poppers. Caught other species other than bream like whitting, flathead, pike, etc

for casting distance the bassday crystal poppers and the maria "skip n plop" are really good - as they're sinking models they suit a faster continuous retrieve
the daiwa lazy gekkabijins are awsome as are the bassday sugapens, i reckon the zipbaits skinny pop jnr would be similar style but has more of a cup (will be trying them soon) kev - the main thing is there are poppers and there are surface lures, they work on the surface but in different ways - i've got some in my lure box you can try if you want |

Poppers
Hey,
I caught a heap of fish over summer on the Lucky Craft Bevy Prop. Can pop and walk the dog. The clear one with the little bit of pink at the tail and it also casts a mile! Regards, |

Stiffy popper is a floater, casts a mile and works well in choppy condiditons. Not too expensive either at about $15 a pop (excuse the pun but I couldn't resist)

The rebel popper always worked good for me in the clear body with the blue head. although I also like the R2S baby rover(also its cheap) and i believe that the 35mm nightwalker nano would be rly good, but i recently had no luck only luck is with palagic atm
, well i hiope that helpedCheers Fisho |
