rodmy, I own a Catera and have no complaints what-so-ever. I picked mine up in February for $70 or $75. I chose it over Daiwa's mainly because it was lighter, and chose it over Okuma's because it felt more balanced on my rod. For a budget reel, I think it's great... look after it and wash it down after every few uses and it should last you a while.

The drag is only a cheap washer type, nothing to rave about but does the job fine (has helped me land plenty of kilo fish lately). The best thing about this reel is that it uses rust-proof bearings. As I said, if you look after it well they shouldn't give you any grief.

I'm looking to upgrade to another reel within the fortnight, only for the fact that I want a lighter reel (suffering RSI in the wrist - no jokes please guys ).
