Ecogear's VX40 vs TT's Switchblade
Hi all,
very soon I will be buying my first bunch of bream HB's and was curious to know which of these has more success on big bream with those using them. Are the VX40's worth it at nearly twice the cost? How similar are their actions? Very new to this form of fishing so any help appreciated. Last edited by WODF; 21-06-2009 at 03:56 AM. |

I'd be lookin at the VX35s, the 40s are a little heavy for shallow water - great in deep or lots of current. I prefer the TTs as they dont foul up as much as the Ecogears. But the Ecos have done better for me.....
I'm not a metal fan really, I prefer my Vibes made of plastic fantastic - Lucky Craft to be precise

I'm pretty new on it all too, but I think the TT's are good value definately!
I've only fished them twice and managed 3 fish on them, just make sure you get them in a good colour I have brought a VX35, 40 and 45 though to have a swim, just haven't had a chance to compare them as yet. Good luck with your choice, I'm sure others will have better advice ![]() PS- Have a read through this topic, I'm sure you'll find this topic has been raised before

both catch bream. as for which of the two accounts for more "big bream" well i'm not sure, is anyone? bye a few of each see what works for you. i used vx 40's mostly until damiki vaults came along. don't limit yourself.

the damiki's are really good for areas that have snags - they have a w hook fitted to the rear of them and no centre treble

i personally prefer natural colours that would appear on a living thing a bream would eat, be it a hard or soft lure. the weight of lure you coose to fish at a certain depth is also very important. you'll get away with heavier blades the deeper you fish. get yourself a range from 3.5grm through to 10grm for breaming. the damiki blades have a tight action they're well priced and the coluor range is great. these blades are workin a treat for me.

I have had heaps of success with the evergreen little max vibes plus they only cost $16.95 compared to the ecogear $21.95

Thanks mate, I just had a look & the price is the best I've seen. To bad about shipping tho, as I would have to order a heap to justify the shipping costs.
