At the crack of dawn...

What is your go to lure at the crack of dawn, those few hours before the sun peaks its head?

A bright HB shallow runner, working the bank?
A deep diving HB? Vibe/Blade?
Popper?
Soft plastic, fished on the deep?

I never know what to tie on first, a bright lure or something to hit the bottom, it's especially hard in the heart of winter....

I have had a fair bit of success in the magic hour on the ZIPBAITS KHAMSIN in colour 798, that bright green.

What about you?

Best lure for use at Sparrow's over the flats would be the Damiki Mu-SP in Black Gold Holo, then switched to the Phantom as the sun rises

I've tried a few colours, sizes and techinques around the crack of dawn

Have found a longer plug always gets me some action around the crack of dawn

i like to tie on a surface soft plastic and watch the bream come up and play with it then smash it.

There is nothing better at the magic hour then that.

Cheers VF

Atomic Hardz shad....mid or deep in the hot tail colour is my favourite low light lure.

I don't have any of the khamsins in gold - they're not available in that colour at the moment either as far as I've seen?

I usually stick with dark colored opaque hard body's with a tight action in low light conditions or dark colored blades, surface would also be a good option but could be a bit tough during these cold winter months, Definitely a goer in summer though!

... alternatively you could whack down something smelly on a jig head if the fish are a bit cagey..
